Terms of use

Plain terms for a small study site. Using RefDrill means accepting them.

What this site is

RefDrill is a study aid for people preparing to sit the NCEES Fundamentals of Engineering exam. It trains one narrow skill: finding material quickly inside the FE Reference Handbook. It provides a description of the handbook's section structure, a set of original practice prompts asking where topics live, and a record of how you did.

What this site is not

Not affiliated with or endorsed by NCEES. FE and NCEES are referred to only to name the exam and the publisher of the handbook. The FE Reference Handbook is the copyrighted work of NCEES and is downloaded free from NCEES; no part of it is reproduced here.

RefDrill is not the handbook and does not contain it. No equation, table, figure, constant or passage from the handbook is reproduced here, and no copy of the handbook is hosted or linked from here. You obtain your own copy free from NCEES. Section and subsection names are used as titles, and page locations are stated as facts about a specific printing, currently version 10.5 (seventh printing, April 2025).

Nothing here is an official study guide, a practice exam, or a predictor of any exam result. Buying Premium has no bearing on any exam registration, sitting, score, or licensure decision.

Accuracy, and its limits

The section structure and page data on this site were read from a specific printing of the handbook and checked against that printing's own contents listing. NCEES revises the handbook, and when it does, page numbers move and occasionally material is reorganised. The version this build was checked against is stated on every page that shows a page number. Always verify against the copy your own exam will use.

RefDrill is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for any loss arising from use of the site, including any exam outcome.

Acceptable use

Use the site for your own study. Do not scrape it wholesale, redistribute the drill corpus as your own, or attempt to interfere with its operation or with other people's use of it.

Free and paid access

Every handbook section page, every discipline hub and every guide is free, permanently, and without an account. The drill has a free daily round and a free starter pool. Premium removes the daily limit and adds discipline-scoped rounds, weak-area rounds, the timed simulation and the progress export. What is free and what is paid is described on the Premium page.

Purchases are anonymous and handled by our payment provider. Access is tied to the browser you bought on and is recovered elsewhere with the access code you are shown at purchase. There is no account and no password. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled from the link in your receipt.

Refunds

Not happy with a purchase? Email socialreminderinfo@gmail.com within 14 days of a first purchase, or within 7 days of a renewal, and we will refund it. Send the message from the email address you used at checkout, and include:

  • the email address used at checkout (if you are writing from a different address)
  • your access code, shown on the Premium page while you are signed in on the browser you purchased from
  • roughly when you purchased, and which plan (weekly, yearly or lifetime)
  • the last 4 digits of the card, if you have the receipt handy

That is everything needed to find the purchase and process the refund. This policy does not limit any statutory rights you may have.

Changes

These terms may change as the site changes. The version on this page is the one that applies. Continued use after a change means accepting the updated terms.
